Albon to visit South Africa in July

Williams has confirmed Alex Albon will visit South Africa at the end of July as part of a fan roadshow with partner Super Group, after the team’s FW48 show car toured shopping centres in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Williams said it will be the first time an active Williams driver has officially returned to South African soil since the country last hosted an F1 race in 1993. Albon said: “Bringing F1 to the fans… is what the Williams F1 Team is all about,” while Super Group CEO Neal Menashe called it “a unique opportunity to give South Africans an unforgettable Formula 1 experience.”

Coulthard on reviewing engine-related grid penalties

David Coulthard says Formula 1 should review engine-related grid penalties, arguing the power unit allocation rules no longer serve their original purpose of encouraging reliability. Coulthard said: "I still think we should have a bit of a review of all of those penalties. I think it's going back to a bygone era where they were trying to encourage teams to be reliable. Quickly, it's in everyone's interest to be reliable."
