Fernando Alonso said it was important Aston Martin’s heavily upgraded B-spec car delivered what the team expected in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, after avoiding any “nasty surprise”. Alonso said: "When you bring a nearly new car, you always believe that it is important to have the correlation right, and you deliver what you expect to deliver. So even if it's what we expected, I think it was important to have it and not have a nasty surprise. So I think it's still early days, but there is more potential to unlock in the car, but that's normal when you have such a big package."

🇭🇺 The Hungarian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton apologised for his "attitude" after Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying, after he was investigated for impeding Oscar Piastri in Q3 and later given a three-place grid drop. Hamilton said: "Yesterday was difficult. Forgive me for my attitude. I had done such a great session and then I got the call right at the last minute, so to then know I was going to get a penalty, was tough to swallow."

Alex Albon says reaching 100 races with Williams at the Hungarian Grand Prix “means a lot” to him, but he feels there is “still so much more” he wants to achieve with the team and in Formula 1. Albon said: "Hitting 100 races with this team means a lot to me. It's been quite a journey since I first joined, and it is always nice to think back on some memories over the years, and I'm proud of how far we've all come together. There's still so much more I want to achieve with Williams and in F1, and this weekend is just about doing the best job possible as usual and pushing for the best result we can get."
