Bearman on Hamilton's Ferrari form and his own future
Oliver Bearman says Lewis Hamilton’s return to race-winning form at Ferrari is “not ideal” for his own hopes of one day securing a seat at the team. Bearman said: "As an F1 fan and a Lewis fan as well, it's pretty cool to see him performing at the level he is. Seeing him on the top step in Barcelona was quite a special moment for British F1 in general. Of course, in terms of my future, that's not ideal. But I'm still young. I'm only 21. I'm not in a huge rush, and for me, staying at Haas for the foreseeable is not a bad thing."

Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu says the team has fallen behind its rivals in the development race because of the “constrained environment” created by limited resources. Komatsu said: "Then what happened afterwards in terms of our development race, etc. It's indicative of the constrained environment we've got. Our guys are up against everything, in terms of number of people, in terms of tools that they have and the resources we have. So it's more the fact that I haven't been able to give them that environment that they can show what they're capable of. The fact that we fell behind in the development race is definitely not a reflection of their capability."

Oliver Bearman says he is committed to the Ferrari driver programme and would not consider leaving it for Aston Martin. Bearman said: "I'm very much committed to what Ferrari have offered me, and they have supported me since the very beginning, since I joined F3, and I'm only sitting here thanks to them. Briatore on failed New Jersey F1 race plan with Trump
Alpine team boss Flavio Briatore says he and US president Donald Trump were behind an ultimately unsuccessful plan for a Formula 1 street race in New Jersey in the 2010s, after he joined forces with Trump to pitch the idea to then-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone. Briatore said: "Sure, Donald had no idea as well about Formula 1 - but he's a great promoter. And I made Donald talk with Bernie. I was in the office of Donald. We put in [a] video with Bernie to [find], what was the best place in New York to do the race... Donald [told] us New York is very difficult for a million reasons, but Jersey was the place... But we never succeeded, because Formula 1 was not… considered something special."

Vasseur on Ferrari bringing upgrades to every race
