Cadillac team principal Marcin Budkowski says the new Formula 1 outfit is happy with Ferrari as its power-unit partner as he plans talks at this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix to understand the direction of engine regulations. Budkowski said: "But I hope to have a few discussions already this weekend with the higher instances of the sport to get up to speed because I haven't been part of these discussions for a while, to understand the direction. But we're happy with the relationship with Ferrari, and the power unit is competitive. I think the relationship is going well. So that's, for the time being, how we're set up, and we're happy with Ferrari as a partner."

Max Verstappen says he was closer to retiring from Formula 1 than changing teams, after Red Bull confirmed ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix that he has extended his contract until at least the end of the 2030 season. Verstappen said: "I was closer to retiring than changing teams. I like it here. I think it would be a great story if that were possible, being picked up by Red Bull and finishing your career with one team. I don't feel the need to change just to change, and I don't need to drive in another colour."

Honda trackside manager and chief engineer Shintaro Orihara says Aston Martin should not expect “miracles” from Honda’s updated power unit at this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. Orihara said: "I can't explain how much gap we can reduce by this update. In Formula 1 we should be realistic, so we can't bring a magic update. But we believe we bring some good steps by this update. Every 50 milliseconds or 100 milliseconds is very important to improve our position, and I believe our update can bring that type of improvement on lap times."
TWG Global has issued a statement insisting it is not considering selling the Cadillac Formula 1 team, amid speculation linked to a US federal investigation into billionaire Mark Walter. TWG Motorsports said ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix: “TWG is not considering a sale of the Cadillac team or any other part of TWG Motorsport.” The investigations relate to alleged undisclosed loans between intermediary companies in Walter’s business empire.
