Lando Norris says “the pressure is on” championship leader Kimi Antonelli, arguing Mercedes have made more team mistakes than McLaren, after Norris won the Hungarian Grand Prix. Norris said: "The pressure is on him [Antonelli] for sure. There's no pressure on me. They [Mercedes] have made more mistakes as a team, and we have made less, and we have come strong. I expect them to still win races and expect us to win more races. We just need to be perfect from here on now for the whole year."

Carlos Sainz says Williams are “further away from the top than we thought” in 2026, after expecting the team’s early focus on the new regulations to at least maintain its 2025 level. Sainz said: "Obviously, going into 2026, I expected, if anything, with more time to develop the 2026 car and a new set of regulations, that we could potentially either stay where we were or make a small step forward. McLaren team principal Andrea Stella says the team’s experimental “rotating rear wing” has been signed off after being evaluated in Friday practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix, although McLaren opted against racing the design at the Hungaroring.
