Lando Norris retired from the Monaco Grand Prix after 46 laps with another battery-related problem, his second such issue of the weekend. The McLaren driver has now suffered back-to-back non-finishes due to power unit trouble after failing to finish the Canadian Grand Prix, and he also did not start the Chinese Grand Prix because of an electrical issue.

Charles Leclerc said his brake problems were “not acceptable” after he crashed out of the Monaco Grand Prix at the restart following a late Safety Car. Leclerc said: "I'm extremely disappointed, sad, angry – a mixture of negative emotions. I don't know how much I can go into the details, but… I don't think… I mean, it's just not acceptable. The issues I have faced with my brakes have been… it's not that it's difficult, it's that in this particular moment it's just impossible. I cannot do anything. The rear brakes were not working at all."

Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari need more downforce as he targets a first win with the team after finishing second in the Monaco Grand Prix. Hamilton said: "I think for me it's really the car. The car is good, but we need more downforce ultimately... They truly deserve this and more, and I've just got to keep working harder to try to see if I can finally take that next step for them soon."

Charles Leclerc said a brake failure left him effectively unable to stop his Ferrari before his crash at Antony Noghès during the Monaco Grand Prix. Leclerc said: "Out of the four brakes, I had three brakes not working. The front left was working well, the front right was half working, and the two rear brakes were not working at all."

Kimi Antonelli said he “didn’t really want to restart” the Monaco Grand Prix after a late red flag wiped out his lead, as he was not relishing the threat of Lewis Hamilton at the standing start. Antonelli said: "To be fair, I wasn't super-keen on restarting; I didn't really want to restart, but once the notification came out, I just got my thoughts together and started to focus again. I looked at some data, and tried to refocus on restarting and trying to get the tyres in the right temperature."

Max Verstappen said his Red Bull had no power when he dropped the clutch at the start of the Monaco Grand Prix, leaving him “praying” the rest of the field would avoid him as he tried to steer out of the way. Verstappen said: "Yeah, I mean, I had no power, right? So I was steering left with the friction of the wheels at that speed. I was just praying that everyone would go right, but everyone luckily reacted very well."

Kimi Antonelli wins the Monaco Grand Prix from Lewis Hamilton after a chaotic ending that featured two safety cars and a red flag.

⚪️ Kimi Antonelli: "It's been an incredible weekend, an incredible race. It was one of those days we had incredible pace. It was all so natural. The car was feeling incredible and giving me the confidence to push. It was a very enjoyable day. "The job isn't finished. It's still a long season. We have to keep pushing and raising the bar. The goal is to keep performing like this. The team has done an incredible job. They have given us an incredible car. I've got so much support from the team and my family, it's a really good moment." 🔴 Lewis Hamilton: “I have to start by congratulating Kimi and to the Mercedes team, my old family, they've done it again, they’ve created an amazing car. On our side, I think we’ve been progressing over the past months, and can’t quite keep up with them just yet, and it’s probably going to take a lot of work for us to get to their level. “But to get another second place is such a great feeling, especially in Monaco under the trickiest conditions – it was the hardest conditions out there! I’ll definitely take it.” 🔵 Isack Hadjar: "We got off to a clean start. We were managing the race and within the first 10 to 15 laps I had massive driveability issues. If there's one track you don't want that, it's here. It was incredibly challenging having to cover 60 laps like that. "Even towards the end I was still lacking power on the restart. I never had to send it that much in the corners. An outstanding weekend considering how it started [with the crash] in first practice. I had no confidence to get back up, but we did it."

The Monaco Grand Prix has been red-flagged with 10 laps to go after two separate crashes at the final corner prompted the FIA to suspend the race to inspect a suspected “track break-up at Turn 19”. Lance Stroll crashed from 16th to trigger an initial safety car, before Charles Leclerc hit the wall at the same spot while running third on the restart. Kimi Antonelli was leading for Mercedes at the stoppage from Lewis Hamilton and Isack Hadjar, with George Russell fourth.

Max Verstappen said his early retirement from the Monaco Grand Prix was “even more painful” because Red Bull had been in position for a strong result before his car failed to get off the line at the start and he retired at the end of the first lap. Verstappen said: "After such a nice weekend for us, you'd at least hope to be on the podium. We of course then retired basically straight away. It's painful for everyone. There's also no need to be super upset because I think everyone is already really disappointed about it... I really felt good this whole weekend, and now to basically come away with zero points is probably even more painful."
