Sergio Perez says he “overdelivered” during his four seasons at Red Bull and that the team only understood the job he had done after he left at the end of 2024. Perez said: "I think I overdelivered in all areas over there. It worked out perfectly. But they were fantastic, four years, I think I overdelivered, and only once I left and they brought in all the other drivers, they realised the job that I've done for them for four years."

Sergio Perez says being Max Verstappen’s team-mate at Red Bull was the “toughest challenge” in Formula 1, describing a set-up in which Verstappen had the team’s people and engineering resources around him. Perez said: "To face Max at Red Bull is the toughest challenge. I mean, even to face Max at any other team would be very tough. But to face him at Red Bull, with his team, his people, his surroundings, it's tough, and you need the best of the best in every area, and you just don't have that, you know. While he has all the opportunities in terms of engineering, senior engineers, experienced engineers, everything goes to Max."

Toto Wolff says Mercedes “need to look at ourselves” after Ferrari defied its own pre-weekend expectation of struggling for energy at Silverstone. Wolff said: "We need to look at ourselves. They [Ferrari] said before the weekend that they're going to be lacking energy over over this track; they haven't."

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella said he has “enough to do at McLaren” when asked after the British Grand Prix what he would do if he were in the position of Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies, with Red Bull facing the prospect of losing Max Verstappen. Stella said: "Well, you know what? I have enough to do at McLaren to gain half a second in the shortest amount of time. So I think, as Andrea Stella, there's enough to do at McLaren to think [about] what Laurent should do. Laurent is very capable, very intelligent, very competent."
Max Verstappen said it would take a “very zen person” to stay optimistic about Red Bull’s situation after his British Grand Prix ended when his rear wing failed. Verstappen said: "It would be a very zen person to be optimistic at the moment, given what happened again this weekend. I'm sorry, but it's just like that. I need a few days, I think, to reset and try again."
