Guenther Steiner says he still does not understand what Gene Haas wants from Formula 1 with his team, after leaving the outfit as team principal at the start of 2024. Steiner said: "With Gene Haas, you'd need to have him here on your podcast to ask him what he wanted to do [with the team] because I still haven't understood. Being in a sport, for me being somewhere competitive, I want to be a winner."

Guenther Steiner says he has “no relationship” with Haas owner Gene Haas following his exit as team principal at the end of the 2023 season. Steiner said: "Oh, I mean most of the people, I've got a very good relationship. I would say not with Gene Haas. But it's not a bad [relationship], we just have no relationship - that's it. And I'm fine with that. We sorted our stuff out, and that's it. I move on. He can move on. I'm pretty happy to move on without him. And he's pretty happy without me."





Ukraine’s government has urged the FIA to reconsider its decision to lift the ban on Russian and Belarusian individuals competing in international motorsport, according to BBC Sport. A statement from the head of the Ukrainian automobile federation said the country’s Minister of Youth and Sports wrote to FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem and the World Motor Sport Council asking for the move to be reviewed, calling it a “complete surprise” and warning it could undermine “the integrity of competitions”.


Williams has re-signed Alex Albon for the 2027 Formula 1 season on a one-year contract extension. Albon said: “One tough year doesn't tell the full picture,” adding that his “full focus now is on doing whatever it takes to get us back up the grid”. Team principal James Vowles said Albon “has been a leader of this transformation project since day one”, and called him “one of the best drivers on the grid”.
