Wolff on Lagrue talks over Mercedes future
Toto Wolff says Mercedes is in discussions with Gwen Lagrue about his future, with nothing agreed yet, after reports Red Bull has signed the Mercedes driver development chief to lead its own junior programme. Wolff said: "Yeah, we're in discussions with Gwen about the future, but nothing's been agreed or decided yet. Gwen has built up a fantastic team. We have about seven, eight or nine people running the junior programme going forward, along with a handful of juniors, and with Bradley [Lord] stepping up as deputy team principal. These things need to be worked out now. We want to do it together with Gwen, and then we'll see."

Arvid Lindblad said he knew he had “one shot” to pass team-mate Liam Lawson in the Belgian Grand Prix once Lawson lost his overtake mode boost. Toto Wolff says Kimi Antonelli’s “serenity and structure” has been a key factor in allowing the Mercedes driver’s talent to shine, after the 19-year-old won the Belgian Grand Prix. Wolff said: "We're all surprised. But what was not expected is the serenity and structure that he brought into his game. With Kimi, whether the session was good or bad, you wouldn't see a difference in emotions in the debrief. It is absolutely transactional. What is the problem? How do we solve it? How do we move on? And I think this mindset and this attitude is probably one of the main drivers that has allowed the talent to shine so early in his career."
