Toto Wolff says Mercedes “need to look at ourselves” after Ferrari defied its own pre-weekend expectation of struggling for energy at Silverstone. Wolff said: "We need to look at ourselves. They [Ferrari] said before the weekend that they're going to be lacking energy over over this track; they haven't."

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella said he has “enough to do at McLaren” when asked after the British Grand Prix what he would do if he were in the position of Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies, with Red Bull facing the prospect of losing Max Verstappen. Stella said: "Well, you know what? I have enough to do at McLaren to gain half a second in the shortest amount of time. So I think, as Andrea Stella, there's enough to do at McLaren to think [about] what Laurent should do. Laurent is very capable, very intelligent, very competent."
Max Verstappen said it would take a “very zen person” to stay optimistic about Red Bull’s situation after his British Grand Prix ended when his rear wing failed. Verstappen said: "It would be a very zen person to be optimistic at the moment, given what happened again this weekend. I'm sorry, but it's just like that. I need a few days, I think, to reset and try again."

Liam Lawson says the social media messages he received after his on-track incident with Sergio Perez at the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix were “the craziest stuff you could imagine”, and that even now “you can’t even imagine” what people were saying. Lawson said: "My phone... I've never seen anything like it. The messages, the comments on posts – the craziest stuff you could imagine people saying. Even now, if I wanted to pull it up and go through my message requests and stuff like that, you can't even imagine some of the things people are saying."

Andrea Stella says there is a “curse” in Formula 1 of always looking to the future, as McLaren focuses on finding improvements after a difficult start to the new regulations. Stella said: "We were almost last, and we ended up as constructors' champions, with Lando becoming world champion and us winning both world titles. But there's a little bit of a curse in F1, and in sport generally, and it's the fact that you're always looking to the future. Looking ahead, we want to be in a position very soon to repeat these kinds of results and see Lando and Oscar succeed, and then fight again for the world championship."
